Vodafone To Offer 3G Services By Year-End

Economic Times recently reported that Vodafone Essar Limited, the Indian subsidiary of Vodafone Group Plc will launch 3G services in India by the year-end. Vodafone has already acquired 3G spectrum in nine circles which includes Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai & Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra & Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh (East) and West Bengal for Rs 11,617 crore.

Vodafone VF247 is Solar Phone for India

Vodafone has launched a new Solar phone the VF247 aimed at the Indian market. One can charge the battery using Sun light and its inbuilt Sun Boost hardware and software. Solar charging will take 8 hours to fully charge the battery.

Vodafone UK selling iPhone 4 from Today

We just heard from Vodafone UK that they are going to starting taking orders for the Apple iPhone 4 from Thursday 7 am. Seems like this information is for the contract phone. But if you are in UK and a Vodafone customer or if you are travelling in UK, you might be able to check out the iPhone 4 at a Vodafone Store ! While the email states that they are going to start taking orders , its not clear when the phone will land in user hands !
